Transcriptomics of the aging rhesus macaque brain

The rhesus macaque is an important non-human primate biomedical model of aging. Similar to humans, rhesus macaques show natural variability in age related pathologies. It is important to characterize the aging process that occurs throughout the natural life span of this model and this study aims to support that goal by capturing gene expression profiles from multiple brain regions which were collected across a span of ages.
