Chemical and biological characterization of the pelagic system of the Santos Basin/PCR-BS

Coastal-to-open ocean vertical microbiome investigation was conducted from 64 water samples of Santos Basin (SB), Southwest Atlantic Ocean. Using a spatial and vertical metagenomics and machine learning approach, we assessed the diversity and distribution of pelagic microbes, identified key bacterial and archaeal taxa, and inferred their ecosystem functions.
