Land of Sky Rural Planning Organization FBRMPO Safe Streets 2025

The French Broad River Metropolitan Planning Organization (FBRMPO) and Land of Sky Rural Planning Organization (LOSRPO) developed the Safe Streets for WNC plan (finalized in 2025), a comprehensive regional safety action plan. The study identifies roadway safety issues through a multi-disciplinary lens, establishes strategies for implementation, and provides guidance for improving transportation safety across a five-county region: Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania Counties. The data layers included here were created as part of the study and used to inform the plan. For more information about the Safe Streets for WNC plan, visit the FBRMPO website. This dataset is provided as an Esri Hosted Feature Service (HFS). It can be opened directly in Esri software, accessed via REST services, or exported into multiple formats for use in other GIS applications. The data is also available as a Web Feature Service (WFS), compliant with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards here. Please review the full documentation and metadata before use.
