LCZ Map of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA)

Local Climate Zones (LCZ) map representing the urban morphology of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), developed through a supervised reclassification process tailored to local data. Building upon the WUDAPT LCZ map, the rebuilt map integrates high-resolution geospatial datasets—including digital elevation models, 3D building data, and land use layers from national and municipal sources. The result is a refined LCZ classification that reflects the diverse urban and environmental characteristics across AMBA, designed to support urban climate modeling and atmospheric simulations.
