资源简介:
This beamtime is part of a long-term project focused on exploring how geometric curvature can be leveraged to control magnetic domain walls in both three-dimensional (3D) and two-dimensional (2D) magnetic systems. Curvature plays a crucial role in magnetism as a simple yet powerful tool to control magnetic textures by modifying the local energy landscape.
During the proposed beamtime, we will study 2D multipath nanostructures with varying thickness and width, fabricated by e-beam lithography, to define the curved shapes, and sputtering to deposit permalloy. The aim of this proposal is to investigate the influence of curvature in the propagation path followed by the domain walls depending on their chirality, and the combination of this phenomenon with the domain wall automotion introduced by curvature gradients.
For this purpose, two different types of nanostructures will be fabricated. In the first ones, the radius of the curved branches will be constant, whereas in the other, a curvature gradient will be implemented along the structure.
