GNPS - Serum metabolomics-based study of Alzheimer's disease and Mild cognitive impairment patients.

The study recruited 158 participants from the Greek Association of Alzheimer s Disease and Related Disorders (GAADRD) Day Centers between 2016 and 2021. The cohort included 45 individuals with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), 91 with Alzheimer s Disease (AD), and 22 Healthy Controls (HC), diagnosed per DSM V criteria. Comprehensive medical, laboratory, and neuropsychological evaluations were performed to confirm diagnoses.
The analysis was performed using a Waters Xevo G3 QToF Mass Spectrometer coupled with a Waters ACQUITY Premier UPLC. Separation was achieved using a Waters ACQUITY Premier HSS T3 column, with 0.1% formic acid in water (A) and 0.1% formic acid in acetonitrile (B) as mobile phases.
