Dataset for the manuscript Social and Spatial Affinity Drive Wound Care by Ants by Ebi Antony George, Alba Motes-Rodrigo, Laurent Keller, Erik Frank.Preprint DOI: https://doi.org/10.1101/2025.10.08.681151 The zip file with the data contains the following sub-folders: edgelists: csvs containing edgelists of social interactions from the automated tracking system for the various phases in the experiments encounter_simulations: parquet files containing the results of simulations of wound care encounters: csvs with all the encounters of nestmates with focal ants in the various phases in the experiments focal_interactions: csvs containing data from manual observations of interactions of nestmates with the focal ants for the various phases in the experiments interactions: csvs containiing a time ordered list of interactions used to create edgelists replicateIDs: csvs containiing the IDs of the focal ants social_maturity: cvs containing the social maturity of all ants obtained from the baseline 5 day phase in the experiments trajectories: csvs containing the spatial coordinates of all ants (downsampled to 1Hz) in the various phases as well as the normalised counts of the presence of ants in a grid overlaid on the nest and foraging arenas (used to calculate spatial fidelity) The zip files contain the data for all 6 colonies used in the experiments
