The aim of the project was to develop a theoretical model for how the pattern of behaviour of close family members of deceased are affected by the funeral rite in the grieving process, with a basis in empirical material. In a broader perspective, it was a goal to study religiousness in the context of real life experiences.
Through clergymen it was developed contact with close family members of deceased in a 10-week period, fall 1992, who agreed to participate in a self-completion questionnaire.
Data from "The mourners and the funeral rite, 1995" are made available for research purposes. The project leader of the original project, Danbolt, would like to receive copies of prospective work that is based on or refers to this material, the source must also be informed about.
