To develop a quantiative assessment parameter for fish spatial distribution, we compared the spatial distribution parameters and general locomotor parameters of zebrafish after exposure to chemicals and wastewater. Based on the heatmap, we calculated the behavior Gini coefficient for quantitative assessment. The behavior Gini coefficient can more robustly identify alternations of spatial distribution of fish shoal and is an ideal parameter to quantitatively assess spatial distribution. Thus, the behavior Gini coefficient has promissing applications in toxicity tests for chemicals and wastewater and for automatic quanlity monitoring for surface water and aquaculture water. The Supplementary Materials including the protocol, raw data and function run with MATLAB. Besides, the test data were also added for better use.

为构建鱼类空间分布的量化评估参数,本研究对比了斑马鱼在接触化学物质及废水后的空间分布参数与一般运动参数。依据热图分析,我们计算了行为基尼系数以进行定量评估。行为基尼系数能够更为稳健地识别鱼群空间分布的变化,并成为评估空间分布的理想量化指标。因此,行为基尼系数在化学物质及废水的毒性测试中以及地表水及水产养殖水质的自动质量监测中具有广阔的应用前景。附加材料包括实验方案、原始数据和MATLAB运行的功能函数。此外,为了便于使用,还增加了测试数据。
