This dataset contains molybdenum (Mo) isotopic composition data of oceanic island basalt (OIB-type) from the Sanjiang region, southeastern Tibetan Plateau, which can be used to investigate the genetic mechanism of Mo isotope anomalies in mantle plume-derived mafic rocks. After grinding, digestion, concentration prediction and mixing with double spike, the samples were chemically purified and separated, then measured using a Neptune Plus multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS) at the Isotope Geochemistry Laboratory of China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Each sample was tested three times in replicate, with mass discrimination correction performed using the isotope double spike method, and the measurement errors are reported as 2SD. The results of reference materials analyzed synchronously during the measurement are consistent with the internationally recommended values, which ensures the accuracy and reliability of the dataset. This dataset is of great significance for revealing the sources of recycled components in the mantle and understanding the deep evolutionary processes during the post-collisional stage of the Tibetan Plateau.
