Impact of varying oxygen concentration on the culturable and unculturable bacterial diversity in the Arabian Sea OMZ

Oxygen Minimum Zones (OMZs) of the ocean characterized by extremely low oxygen concentrations. Arabian Sea has a permanent OMZ. Microbes in the Arabian Sea OMZ are crucial in the cycling of nutrients, especially the nitrogen cycle. This research will shed light on the adaptation strategies of microbial communities in response to changing oxygen conditions and provide insights into the ecological dynamics of the Arabian Sea OMZ.
