The accuracy of the systolic BP (SBP) and diastolic BP (SBP) values is determined is based on whether values were within 5, 10 or 15 mmHg for 99 individual measurements (part 1) and then on a per-participant basis (part 2). The MESI device passed both part 1 and part 2 of the ESH-IP, suggesting this device is suitable for hypertension screening. The 2/3 and 0/3 represent the minimum number of comparisons within a 5 mmHg difference for systolic and diastolic BP, respectively.
