资源简介:

Processed acoustic, tracking, and airgun exposure data supporting all figures and statistical analyses in Wardlaw et al., "Seismic Airgun Signals Elicit Dive Response in Mesopelagic Organisms" (Geophysical Research Letters, in review). Data were collected on 26 September 2024 aboard R/V Roger Revelle (Cruise RR2411) in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean near the Atlantis II Seamounts, using an AUV-mounted 70 kHz split-beam echosounder to track individual mesopelagic organisms before, during, and between two 30-minute firing periods of a research-grade airgun. Included: processed 38 kHz volume backscattering strength (Sv) echograms from the AUV and ship; 70 kHz point backscattering strength (Sp) echograms and single-echo detections for two representative example windows (used in Figures 2 and 3); individual target tracks with track-level and hit-level vertical velocity estimates; airgun shot times, received sound pressure levels, and example shot waveform recordings; AUV, ship, and airgun navigation tracks; and regional/local bathymetry (GEBCO). Companion analysis code that reproduces all manuscript figures and statistics is available at: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21688909.
