Suicide Prevention Professionals Survey Dataset (N = 394)

This dataset contains anonymized quantitative survey data from a study examining professional perceptions of suicide and their association with suicide prevention training and professional experience. The sample includes 394 professionals from psychology, nursing, medicine, and related fields who completed an online questionnaire. The dataset includes a five-indicator formative composite index designed to capture multidimensional professional perceptions of suicide. The indicators assess perceived stigma, competence in identification and management, professional importance attributed to suicide, appraisal of preventive measures, and mental health attribution. Additional variables include demographic characteristics (age, gender), professional background, years of experience, suicide prevention training status (binary), type of training, perceived quality and sufficiency of training, and derived variables (e.g., centered experience and interaction terms). All data have been fully anonymized prior to publication. No personally identifiable information is included. The dataset is shared to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary quantitative analyses related to suicide prevention, professional preparedness, and training evaluation. Users of this dataset are encouraged to cite the associated peer-reviewed publication.
