The Access to public services and social protections score captures the extent to which LGBTI people are legally protected from discrimination and enjoy formal access to public services and social protection programs. It reflects whether national laws prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or sex characteristics in accessing health, housing, or public services, and whether LGBTI people are covered by social protection laws or national strategies.
