Data and results log for Petrovsky/James/Moseley/Boyne (PAR): What Explains Agency Heads’ Length of Tenure? Testing Managerial Background, Performance, and Political Environment Effects

The data set contains all but two of the variables we used in our article. The two excluded variables are: (i) ceodob (the birthday of the agency chief executive) and (ii) ceoname (the name of the agency chief executive). The birthdays were not public for all chief executives in the sample. We obtained some of the birthdays through direct correspondence with the chief executives and assured them that we would not publish this information. The .smcl file is a Stata marked up text file containing the log of running the code behind the analyses reported in our article.
