"墾丁國家公園內遭外來種銀合歡入侵情形嚴重,林試所與墾管處自96年至98年期間曾於墾丁國家公園進行熱帶海岸林復育作業,並於當地復育造林栽植許多海岸原生樹種,然目前多為陽性先驅樹種,缺乏其它演替較為後期的耐陰樹種。為加速海岸林的復育速度與增加其生物多樣性,本計畫擬就二階段林下造林可行性提出評估。
101年度已於墾丁海岸林復育作業地上栽植11種恆春半島耐陰原生樹種,103年度之重要工作項目為調查上述栽植造林苗木之存活及生長情形,持續監測天然更新植物及銀合歡之數量變化,並評估二階段林下造林苗木之表現。這些適合於恆春半島海岸林林下生長之原生樹種,可供未來恆春半島其它地區選擇復育栽植樹種時參考。
Leucaena leucocephala, an exotic invasive species, has spread widely and seriously threatened the natural ecosystem in Kenting National Park. Therefore, researches on L. leucocephala removal and native vegetation restoration are urgent.
In order to facilitate restoration and increase biodiversity, this project will evaluate the possibility of subsequent planting in Kenting coastal forest restoration area. 11 shade tolerant species seedlings were planted at study site in 2011. The major tasks in 2013 are: 1. Survival and growth survey of restoration seedlings planted in 2011; 2. Monitoring the change of natural regeneration vegetation and L. leucocephala; 3. evaluating the performance of subsequenct planted seedlings. The growth information of shade tolerant species will be an essential reference for future restoration plan in Hengchun peninsula.
