资源简介:
Two of the six instruments on board the OSO-7 were an EUV
spectroheliograph (Neupert, Thames, and Chapman 1974) and a Hard X-ray
Spectrometer (Datlowe, Elcan, and Hudson 1974). The spectroheliograph
provided 5'x5' rasters (spectroheliograms) over the active region at
four wavelengths every 61 s, with a pixel size of 12' x 20'. The
wavelength of the EUV spectroheliogram could be adjusted from 17.0nm -
40.0nm. The solar image was usually severely undersampled, i.e., only
about 1/3 of the solar image was scanned. The instrument could
co-record H-alpha spectroheliograms with a wide 0.086 nm bandpass,
blueshifted 0.016 nm from the H-alpha rest wavelength through the same
aperture as the EUV spectroheliograms. The X-ray instrument provided
simultaneous spectroheliograms in two bandpasses: 0.502nm - 0.795nm,
and 0.795nm - 0.951nm. The instrument also contained an x-ray
polarimeter that recorded the integral solar emission in the 15-60 keV
band with 20 seconds temporal resolution (Nakada, Neupert, and Thomas
1974).
This data set consists of data obtained with the GSFC Solar EUV and
Soft X-ray Spectroheliograph on OSO-7. The dataset consists of Large
Raster Data, Small Raster Data, solar EUV spectra of selected regions,
plots of X-ray polarimeter data, synoptic maps at 28.4 nm large raster
data, and planning documents, user guides, and calibration
reports. The large and small raster spectroheliograms are available in
digital form.
