Collection of myxomycetes of Young Naturalists Circle of Zoological Museum of Moscow State University

Collection of myxomycetes of Young Naturalists Circle of Zoological Museum of Moscow State University (CYN ZMMU) is one of the largest myxomycetes collections in Russia (and the second in Moscow State University). It was critically revised by V.I. Gmoshinskiy and A.V. Matveev in 2018. The collection is focused on the myxomycetes of temperate region of European Russia and Russian Far East. As of 1 November 2018, physical collections include 1,639 specimens (1,712 records) from 142 species, 35 genera, 11 families and 6 orders. Most part of the collection consists of fully labeled and georeferenced specimens. Collection material is represented by pieces of substrates with fruit bodies glued to paper-base and placed in match-boxes (Stephenson, Stempen, 2000). The collection was founded in 1992 by E.A. Dunaev. Material in collection was deposited by T.N. Barsukova, N.N. Kotelenets, O.M. Germant, A.N. Bragin, V.I. Gmoshinskiy et al.
