A price survey of 1kg of strawberries conducted at supermarkets in Morioka City revealed that the average price in May 2024 was 1,235 yen. This is 783 yen cheaper than the national average of 2,018 yen. Over the period from January 2015 to May 2024 (a span of 59 months), the highest price for strawberries in the city of Morioka was recorded in December 2021 at 1,922 yen, while the lowest price was in May 2016 at 904 yen. The price difference between the peak (December 2021) and trough (May 2016) periods for strawberries in the Morioka area is 783 yen.
