NVRA PERFORMANCE DATA, MISSOURI

Per the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993, most states are required to offer voter registration applications and assistance with them at certain offices serving low-income families whenever an application for benefits, re-certification of eligibility for benefits, or change of address form is filed. This file contains data on voter registration and benefit transactions at Missouri’s Department of Social Services (DSS) offices. Originally, the data were collected by DSS in accord with a 2008 court order and 2009 settlement in ACORN v Scott (US District Court for the Western District of Missouri Central Division). After the settlement ended on June 24, 2013, the state continued to collect the data in the same format to monitor compliance.
