Effects of long-term feeding of concentrate and phytogenic supplementation on bovine gut microbiota

The aim of this study was to examine the changes in the rumen (digesta, PARL, rumen fluid, papillae) and hindgut (feces) microbiota of cattle receiving either forage or 65% concentrate with or without dietary supplementation of a blend of phytogenic compounds (PHY - thymol, menthol, eugenol).
