Steep Cone Geyser Living, Silicified, and Lithified Biomat Raw sequence reads

The goal of this study was to unravel the confounding biological signals that arise through the silicification and entrainment of biomarkers by identifying microbial builders, surveying biomarkers across different stages of silicification, and linking biomarkers to different microorganisms and microbial communities. This was achieved by interrogating the microbiology, geology, geochemistry, and organics of living microbial biostructures, recently silicified biofabrics preburial, and fully lithified and entrained biofabrics.
