The dataset was generated during a project aimed at developing an ultra-miniaturized dual-band Frequency Selective Metasurface (FSMS) to improve the performance of Millimeter-Wave (mmWave) 5G non-line-of-sight (NLOS) communications. The proposed ultraminiaturized unit cell features a symmetrical layout ensuring polarization insensitivity and exhibits a stable angular response for oblique incidence angles reaching up to 75◦ in both TE and TM polarizations. According to the author’s knowledge, the suggested FSMS unit cell design is the most compact one reported to date, featuring a total footprint of 2.15 × 2.15 mm2. Moreover, its low profile makes the proposed FSMS suitable for use on conformal surfaces without response deterioration. For experimental validation, a 64 × 64 element FSMS, measuring 144 × 144 mm2 in total, is fabricated and tested.
