Do VPN Providers' Own Websites Respect Your Privacy? 30 Sites Measured (2026)

VPNs are sold as privacy products. This dataset measures whether the marketing homepages of 30 well-known VPN providers apply the same privacy hygiene they sell: cookies on first load, SameSite usage, and third-party trackers. Finding: 43% load Google Analytics/Tag Manager on the homepage, while 0% load a Meta/Facebook Pixel - a measurable, uneven privacy posture. Reproducible with curl (script included).
