Sequencing of 10,225 Chickpea germplasm accessions (Cicer arietinum)

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum) is the second largest legume crop globally, serving as a primary crop in many developing countries and a significant component of agriculture in developed nations such as Australia, Canada, and the United States. In this study, a comprehensive resequencing analysis was conducted on 10,225 extensively representative chickpea germplasm accessions. This investigation aims to deepen our understanding of chickpea population genetics and facilitate functional gene research related to key agronomic traits.
