Survey Dataset on Marine Radio Inspections: Digital Tools and Compliance with IMO SOLAS/GMDSS Standards

This dataset was collected as part of the MSc dissertation project “The Role of Digital Tools in Streamlining Marine Radio Inspections” (Middlesex University via Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, 2025). It contains anonymised survey responses and coded variables exploring the adoption of digital tools by marine radio inspectors, port state control officers, and flag administrations in relation to IMO SOLAS and GMDSS compliance. The dataset is provided in CSV format with a codebook describing each variable. It is intended to support further research into maritime digitalisation, safety inspections, and regulatory technology. The dataset can be reused under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), with appropriate citation of this record.
