The Global Distribution of Inundated Areal Fraction of 1 Degree Cells data set in combination with the Global Distribution of Wetland Ecosystems at 1 x 1 Degree Resolution data set may be used to calculate wetland areas. The global database of inundation was compiled at 1 degree latitude by 1 degree longitude resolution, from a series of about 250 Operational Navigation Charts at 1:1M scale.
