资源简介:
This study aimed to identify and analyze the objective and subjective consequences of teenage pregnancy, considering the socioeconomic differences between them. An exploratory qualitative study was conducted with 20 teenagers who gave birth between June, 2009 and June, 2010. The data gathering instrument was designed as a semi-structured interview and the content analysis has been used to analyze the data. It was found that, despite the lower income, families have better accepted pregnancy, the greatest impact also occurred between these families, especially regarding the postponement or jeopardizing of educational projects, lower chance of qualification and absolute financial dependency on family. Contraceptive methods were known, but not used, which shows the challenge to achieve prevention strategies for this population, a group wherewith the developed programs, besides informative, must approach the emotional, social and cultural experiences.
