Flowering species specific abundance counts proximal to shrub Dodonea viscosa

In exploration of the potential effects of the shrub <em>Dodonea viscosa </em>on surrounding flowering plant species, the size of the shrub, soil temperature, species present and their abundances were recorded. A transect tape measured three distances of 1m, 3m, and 5m where the quadrat was placed and soil temperature recorded. Flowering species present and their abudnances within the quadrat were a representative sample of each distance. A total of 39 shurbs were recorded and chosen via a random number generator.
