Site descriptions for field survey of naturalized plant populations, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand

This CSV file contains descriptions of the 24 field sites of naturalized Crassulaceae on Banks Peninsula, surveyed in 2011 and 2012. Populations of Aeonium arboreum, Aeonium haworthii and Cotyledon orbiculata were surveyed by measuring plant size and reproduction along permanent 50m transects, and remeasured the following year. Data fields are: Site (survey site unique ID), Species (AA = A. arboreum, AH = A. haworthii, CO = C. orbiculata), Northing (NZMG), Easting (NZMG), Description (local directions to survey site), First surveyed (DD/MM/YY date of initial survey), Second survey (DD/MM/YY date of second survey), Transect location (notes on layout of transects), Altitude (metres above sea level), Aspect (average cardinal direction across transect, none where site was flat), Landslide (qualitative assessment of landslide damage following the Christchurch 2011 earthquake - no rockfall visible = none, 3 or fewer small slips = slight, more than 3 small slips or one large slip = mod/moderate, much or the transect destroyed = severe, first surveyed after the earthquake so damage could not be assessed = post). <br>
