Exploring Slow Tourism Motivations in Spiti Valley: A Thematic and Sentiment Analysis of User-Generated Reviews (2022-2024)

The dataset supporting the findings of this study comprises 90 user-generated travel reviews about experiences in Spiti Valley, India, collected from TripAdvisor between 2022 and 2024. Due to the nature of data collection from a publicly available platform, individual user reviews were sourced using purposive sampling (Etikan et al., 2016) to ensure diverse travel perspectives.
Thematic and sentiment analyses were conducted using NVivo 14 software, and data management and initial organization were performed using Microsoft Excel.
