**Overview**
The Office of Finance Starter Kit contains sample Alteryx Designer workflows to help Finance Analysts kick start automating processes that historically would be done manually in Excel. As businesses adopt Databricks Unity Catalog for governance and centralized data repositories, business analysts seek a tool to help them adapt. Alteryx has helped data workers connect to all of their data sources, prepare/blend/transform, analyze, and automate processes for over 20 years.

**Use cases**
The following use cases are included in pre-built Alteryx Designer Workflows:
- Asset & Liability Reconciliations: Perform balance sheet reconciliations on datasets that may come from internal sources like files, extracts, and datawarehouses.
- Calculating Key Financial Performance Indicators for Period-to-Date: Calculate typical KPIs such as Year over Year and YTD calculations for departments.
- Cashflow Forecasting: Record income and expenses and automate income statement and cash flow reporting. It also generates a *forecast for the monthly cash equivalent data, enabling a smooth forecasting of cashflow for the business.
- Calculating Indirect Taxes: Calculate the sales and use tax per state for subscription sales.
