This BioProject presents RNA-Seq data for the functional characterization of DHL1, a rice (Oryza sativa) homolog of the human VPS13 gene. The dhl1 loss-of-function mutant exhibits pleiotropic phenotypes, including delayed heading date, reduced plant height, and altered leaf color (reduced chlorophyll and carotenoid contents) compared to the wild-type background (e.g., Ninggeng7). To elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying these traits, poly(A)-enriched RNA-Seq libraries were constructed from leaf tissues of wild-type and dhl1 mutant plants grown under standard conditions, with multiple biological replicates. The dataset aims to identify differentially expressed genes, co-expression networks, and regulatory pathways involved in heading date control, plant architecture, chloroplast development, and photosynthetic pigment biosynthesis. These data will contribute to understanding the multifaceted roles of VPS13 family proteins in rice growth and development.
