Data for "Fourier Decomposition of China's Nominal GDP Growth by Horizon and Expenditure Component"

This dataset supports the manuscript “Fourier Decomposition of China’s Nominal GDP Growth by Horizon and Expenditure Component.” It contains the constructed and source-verified data used in the empirical analysis, including annual Chinese expenditure accounts for 1978–2025, quarterly nominal GDP and real-side series, quarterly timing indicators used for temporal disaggregation, quarterly trade and exchange-rate inputs, and the external Chen–Higgins–Zha quarterly account. The archive also includes provenance records, source catalogues, data dictionaries, audit files, and integrity checks. The 2025 observations are preliminary where applicable. Public-source observations originate from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the Bank for International Settlements, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta/Chen–Higgins–Zha data archive. Third-party materials remain subject to the rights and terms of their original providers.
