Single-cell RNA sequencing of post-traumatic brain injury day 4 ipsilateral brain leukocytes in C57BL/6 adult male mice

To determine immune response differences to TBI that correlate with improved function post-TBI in Ccr2-/- mice, single-cell RNA sequencing was performed on brain leukocytes from Ccr2-/- mice and wild type mice isolated during the acute TBI time point of 4 days post-TBI. Brain leukocytes were isolated, CD45+ leukocytes were sorted by flow cytometry and cells were given to UCSF Institute for Human Genomics Core Facility for single-cell RNA sequencing using the 10X Genomics platform.
