Data files used in Resende, RT et al. 2020. Enviromics in breeding: applications and perspectives on envirotypic-assisted selection. Theoretical and Applied Genetics.

File code_data-simulation.R: R Code lines by which the simulated envirotypic (File S1) and genotypic and phenotypic (File S2) data files were obtained. Running these commands will produce different data sets than the ones appended, given the stochastic nature of the simulation process
File S1_envdat.txt: Simulated envirotypic marker data. Fifty trials were randomly allocated to a square area covered 10,000 pixels (rows). Data for external environmental variables that could potentially affect yield in the area were simulated. One hundred overlapping rasters (columns) corresponding to climate and landscape-based environmental attributes (EA) containing envirotypic information were simulated, each raster corresponding to a grid of all 10,000 pixels in the area, i.e. an enviromic marker.
File S2_pheno.txt: Simulated data of a phenotypic response trait with a broad-sense heritabilty (h²) ≈ 0.10. (ex. agricultural yield) for 100 unrelated genotyped (ex. lines, clones) across 50 experimental trials totaling 5,000 experimental plots.
