Microbial Diversity in Environment of Aseptic Ward
收藏资源简介:
Exploring microbial community in hospital environment is important for patient health. The aim of our study was to understand the environmental microbial diversity of Aseptic wards in Zhujjiang Hospital. We collected samples from floor and wall of 6 aseptic wards and hands of patients, and set control samples for sampling process, DNA Extraction and PCR during experimental protocol. The alpha and beta diversity showed that the control groups and the ward group were clustered separately and each group had a unique microbial community structure. Moraxellaceae and Staphylococcaceae were significantly abundant in ward groups, which were opportunistic pathogens, while most of the sequences in control group were derived from commonly reported contaminating bacteria from environment. Our findings indicate that there were environmental species and pathogens in the ward samples. This procedure maybe used as a routine bio-surveillance in order to detect the clean environment to follow possible infection source of patients.
