资源简介:
Welding repair techniques, such as “temper bead welding”, have known significant development during the last decades. These techniques produce beneficial metallurgical transformations during in-situ modification or repair of thick pressure vessel equipments. This approach relies on a well-designed multipass welding strategy to thermally affect the heat-affected zone of the base metal in order to induce tempered or even grain refinement. This work is conducted by Romain Jeanpierre, PhD student who started in April 2022 and its main objective is to investigate the effects of low temperature transformations and transformation-induced plasticity on high residual stress levels generally observed during a multipass welding repair operations. The proposed experiments aim to complete the previous one carried out in july 2024 (22nd to 29th). The experiment RB2410608 has been interrupted two days earlier due to a fire incident followed to water leakage. During this campaign of july 2024, we successfully measured the residual stresses in two of our four specimens.
