## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. \n\nProvides an ESRI file geodatabase containing Budyko-Choudhury derived runoff data in various forms as follows:\n\n\n\nRasters:\n\nAust_9sec_Q_cell_ML = runoff resampled expressed in ML per 9 second cell (as per GA 9 sec DEM, see lineage)\n\nAust_9sec_accumulated_Q_ML = accumulated runoff derived from above and GA 9sec flow direction.\n\n\n\nPoint feature classes:\n\nAust_accumulated_Q_ML_points = as for accumultated Q raster above but presented as cell centroids\n\nAust_accumulated_Q_ML_points_nonzero = as above but with all zero ML point values excluded\n\nAust_accumulated_Q_ML_points_1M= as above but includes only points with accumulated runoff of 20k ML or greater\n\nAust_accumulated_Q_ML_points_1M_RivReg = as above but with points attributed with River Region\n\nAust_accumulated_Q_ML_points_1M_RivReg_alb = as above but in GA Aust Albers projection.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe mean annual runoff dataset was created according to Donohue et al (2010). The data represent the runoff expected from the steady-state 'Budyko curve' longterm mean annual water-energy limit approach using BAWAP precipitation and the Penman potential ET described in the source dataset.\n\nChoudhury BJ (1999) Evaluation of an empirical equation for annual evaporation using field observations and results from a biophysical model.
