Genetic factors underlying the growth and development of Eriocheir sinensis, the famous Yangcheng Lake hairy crab. This study focuses on the de novo genome and full-length transcriptome information of selected study subjects. Specifically, Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs were used as experimental samples. Initially, genome analysis was conducted, identifying gene fragments with a total length of 1,266,092,319 bp. Subsequently, transcriptome analysis was performed on pooled tissues from four distinct anatomical sites: muscle, brain, eye, and heart, to further investigate genetic characteristics at the transcriptome level. A total of 36.93 Gb of subreads and 17,590,041 valid insert fragments were generated using the Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) Single-Molecule Real-Time sequencing system. This study contributes to indirectly understanding the genetic variations underlying individual traits. Additionally, by comparing the obtained data with relevant literature, the advantages of this study are highlighted, laying a foundation for further research on Eriocheir sinensis.
