The dataset comprises 41 structured rows extracted from authentic chat/email exchanges in a Japanese manufacturing firm; one row is contact metadata, leaving N = 40 analysable utterances across 21 interaction cases. Speakers include Japanese superordinates and senders (e.g., Uetani, Son, Nakamoto, Mochizuki, Okuma, Nagai, Sun Lei) and subordinate staff/interns (e.g., Bustami, Farhan, Han, Ishida). Each utterance carries its original Japanese text, translations, a context note, an analyst-assigned function label, and listed politeness markers. Names and part identifiers were anonymised in the source.
