Integrated extracellular microRNA profiling for uterine sarcomas

MicroRNAs stably exist in the peripheral blood and can be potential biomarkers. In this study, we evaluated the serum miRNA profiles of patients with uterine sarcomas. Serum samples of 30 women, which consist of leiomyosarcoma, adenosarcoma, endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS), uterine smooth muscle tumors of uncertain malignant potential (STUMP), and leiomyoma, were used. Serum miRNA profiles were investigated using 3D-Gene® RNA extraction reagent from liquid sample kit (Toray Industries, Inc.).
