Yak (Bos grunniens) is a unique livestock species adapted to the cold and hypoxic environment of the Qinghai Tibetan Plateau. In this study, subcutaneous adipose tissue samples were collected from healthy yak calves at 1 and 30 days of age. RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was performed to analyze transcriptional differences associated with thermogenesis during early postnatal development. The results provide valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying thermogenic maturation, energy metabolism, and cold adaptation in yak adipose tissue.
