Coffee is one of the most favorite commodities in the world. Although it has high demands and lack of information occurs between producers and buyers. The major coffee farmers are small holders and have lacked digital exposure. Due to limited supplies and huge demands, manipulations and fraud practices are commonly taking place, where producers tend to take advantage of asymmetrical information. Coffee industry in Indonesia is huge business, where startups are exploring supply chains and demography problems. Each plantation area has a unique quality and is vulnerable to manipulation. Coffee bean quality depends on the plantation land, where Sumatra Island has the largest coffee production. The article examines supply chains in selected Lampung area to enhance current digital solutions, with emphasis on hybrid architecture with blockchain solution. Blockchain has advantages in improving integrity and transparency access while the use of hybrid architecture allows lowering the operating costs. With improved security measures and low costs solutions, the article addresses common chain problems such as addressing ethical and legal issues, promoting collective governance models that manage role of stakeholders in the chains, providing equitable digitalization access, promoting data security and governance for supporting integrity and transparent mechanism, and finally, faster conflict resolution.
