*Also known as Tudung Saji (in Bahasa Melayu)*
Rattan is a palm species that can be found throughout the tropical rainforest around Southeast Asia. Traditionally, it is important as a material for weaving baskets and wickerwork for furniture and other handicrafts.
**All Malaysian children (before the 00s) grew up to be fearful of this rattan material, as it is most commonly known to be used as a "rotan" / disciplinary cane**
