Problematising the Public-Private Corruption Dichotomy

The dataset contains information extracted from three criminal law cases relating to corrupt activity in the Australian public sector (Obeid, Wells & Rossi) and three legal cases involving similar acts of criminal malfeasance in the Australian private sector (Sigalla, Elomar & Bariamis). The legal cases were chosen using a combination of random and purposive sampling and the documents, including law reports, media reports and other records, were accessed from unrestricted online sources. The data was used to produce a Case Study Protocol for each case and to compare the presence or absence of the constituent elements of corruption within the two sectors.
