A dataset exploring property and violent crime behavior among adolescents

The dataset is structured into four primary tables, each highlighting different aspects of the participant's demographics, social behavior, institutional trust, and criminal behavior. Table 1 provides an overview of the participant's socio-demographic details including age, gender, religion, division, marital status, living area, and current living situation. The age distribution of participants ranges from 13 to 19 years, with the largest group being 14 years old, representing 22.5% of the sample. Following this, 21.4% are aged 13, 20.5% are aged 15, 10.9% are aged 16, 9.8% are aged 18, 8.9% are aged 19, and 6.6% are aged 17. Females make up the majority of the sample at 66.7%, while males account for 33.3%. The predominant religion among participants is Islam (90.2%), followed by Hinduism (9.4%), with very few identifying as Christian or Buddhist (0.2% each). Geographically, most participants hail from the Sylhet division (99.1%), with only a few from Mymensingh, Barisal, and Rajshahi. All 561 participants reported being unmarried. Regarding their living area, the majority, 75.8%, reside in City Corporation or Metropolis areas. Another 13.9% live in Upazila or District towns, and 10.3% are from villages. Most participants currently live with their families (91.6%), while a smaller portion lives in messes or hostels (6.1%) or with relatives (2.3%).
