Wounding response in adult rosettes of wild type and JA-deficient mutants

Arabidopsis plants from wild-type (Col-0) and the opr2opr3 and aos JA-deficient mutants were pre-treated with MeJA during development to enhance 12-oxo-phytodienoic acid (OPDA) production or with water (as mock control) then at the fourth week of development the adult rosettes were wounded with hemostat and harvested at 1 hour following wounding to determine the wounding transcriptional response in Col-0 and the JA-deficient mutants. This comparative transcriptional approach between Col-0 and the opr2opr3 and aos mutants would determine the JA-dependent, OPDA-dependent and JA/OPDA-independent transcriptional regulation in wounding and at control conditions.
