Aphanomyces invadans is the causative agent of epizootic ulcerative syndrome (EUS), a serious disease affecting farmed and wild fishes from fresh and brackishwater habitat. Documentation of dynamic host-pathogen interactions during the course of infection would greatly improve our knowledge in developing control measures against this pathogen. Therefore, RNAseq data was generated from kidney tissue of juvenile Labeo rohita following infection with A. invadans, at different time intervals. The study is intended to determine changes in immune related gene expression over time between infected and healthy Labeo rohita.
